ABOUT

Edmund is a horticulturalist and garden designer based in Kent, with a deep-rooted love of plants, landscape and the natural world. His work is shaped by a belief that gardens are not only places of beauty, but spaces that can positively influence how we feel, live and connect with nature.

Edmund's own garden was featured on BBC Gardeners' World - hailed for it's design and planting. The garden became a sanctuary for Edmund and his family as his son, Arlen, underwent intensive treatment for a cancerous brain tumour. The garden became a place of solace and healing during this tough time. Through this experience Edmund learnt first hand how nature is purifying, restorative and recharging; that gardens make us feel, they make us grow - figuratively as well as literally. Edmund brings this to his work - creating spaces that nurture wellbeing and deepen connections with nature and each other.

Alongside his design practice, Edmund works with the gardening for health charity Thrive, an experience that has helped to inform his approach. He is passionate about the role gardens can play in supporting wellbeing, helping to reduce stress, lift mood and provide a sense of calm in an increasingly busy world. Thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces can encourage us to slow down, be present and reconnect with the rhythms of nature, and this principle sits at the heart of Edmund’s work.

With a degree in Archaeology and a master’s in Anthropology, Edmund brings a distinctive perspective to garden design. His academic background has given him a strong awareness of land, landscape and the long-standing relationship between people and place. These influences guide the creation of gardens that feel grounded in their setting, sustainable in approach and harmonious in character - spaces where people and plants are meaningfully connected and hat evoke a sense of calm and serenity. Creativity and joy are central to every design, ensuring each garden feels alive, personal and uplifting.

A lifelong love of the outdoors has shaped Edmund’s relationship with nature from an early age. Moving to Kent as a child opened up a world of exploration and adventure, and this sense of curiosity and playful discovery continues to inform his work. He strives to capture that feeling of childish fun and wonderment within his gardens, creating spaces that invite exploration, imagination and a genuine enjoyment of being outdoors.
