BED & BORDER DESIGN

This can be the perfect solution for transforming an area of your garden that might feel tired, underdeveloped or just isn’t giving you the joy it should. It may feel underwhelming, lack cohesion, or simply need extending or revitalising.

The service begins with a consultation (as outlined above). It also includes a survey of the area and an assessment of the soil, light, and any challenges the space may present. From there, we’ll provide a tailored planting plan. We can also source the plants and oversee the planting, if desired.

After the design and planting, we’ll offer guidance on plant care and maintenance, ensuring your new borders remain vibrant and healthy. We're here to make sure your outdoor space becomes a place you love spending time in - a place that brings beauty, peace, and joy all year round.

CONCEPT DESIGN

In addition to the consultation a tailored concept design can subsequently be developed to provide you with a scaled layout drawing that illustrates the proposed structure of your garden (or an area within it, if you're not looking for a full design). This plan will highlight key elements such as hard landscaping, planting, and features. You’ll also receive mood boards, planting suggestions, and material ideas to support the overall vision. The concept design presents a clear visual direction, often with multiple layout options and perspective views to help you envision the potential of your new garden.

A concept garden design is the ideal solution if you want a clear, visual plan for your garden. This service provides you with a detailed plan for your outdoor space - providing you with clarity, direction, and confidence before any work begins.

A consultation will help to establish a brief, wish-list, and how you want to live in your garden. You’ll receive mood boards, material ideas and tailored concept designs - allowing for further input and collaboration before the development of a final, scaled layout that illustrates the proposed structure of your garden - highlighting key elements such as hard landscaping, planting areas, and features.

SITE VISIT, CONSULTATION & SURVEYING

The initial consultation meeting, preceded by a design questionnaire, is the time to discuss exciting ideas which will form the basis of the design brief and to discuss your budget. It is used to look at the possibilities and limitations of the site, considering the views, aspect, levels, soil structure and access. Following the meeting a garden brief will be drawn up based on our discussions along with a quote for any further design services desired and required.

Following this a site survey is needed to produce a scaled plan of your garden. If the site is complex a chartered surveyor may be required.

CONCEPT DESIGN & LAYOUT

The concept design are scaled drawings of the proposed layout for your garden, showing areas of hard landscaping, planting and features. This includes initial plans, mood boards, planting and material suggestions.

This is the first stage of the design where we propose to you several options of the new garden structure. The views and the perspective are offered to show a vision of what the garden will look like.

DESIGN SPECIFICATION & DETAIL

If the work requires specialists, they will sourced and be provided with a clear brief so they can cost accurately.

Once the design has been chosen, the specification layouts are drawn up to allow the team to create the garden. During this stage we work with you to specify every detail; the choice of the plants, the lights and other installations such as pergolas, garden furniture, pots and containers.
